About Cindy
Cindy Johnson is a professionally trained goldsmith working in Kingston, Ontario. In addition to her signature nature-inspired jewellery, Cindy creates souvenir and fundraising pieces for corporate and tourism board celebrations as well as an annual ornament of Kingston-region sights and classical holiday themes.
Cindy began her career as the head Designer Goldsmith at Kingston’s Kinnear d’Esterre Jewellers Est.1906, creating bespoke jewellery and antique restorations until the beloved store’s closing in 2004. The pewter ornament collection began there in the late 1970s, an annual tradition that Cindy continues today. Bespoke pieces, restorations and repairs are Cindy’s main practice, and capturing mother nature in silver and bronze heirloom pieces is Cindy’s passion. Her work has appeared in galleries such as Renaissance Fine Jewellery and Metalworks as well as at craft fairs in Kingston including Kingston Art Fest, Metal ROCKS Show, The Fat Goose Craft Fair, the Kingston Women’s Art Festival and the Kingston Holiday Market.
Cindy brings the elegance and energy of mother nature to permanence in sterling silver, bronze or special order in gold.
