David (now the XI) is a White Saanen goat who serves as the Fort Henry Guard's mascot at Kingston, Ontario. It was David’s Society of Toronto that presented Fort Henry with its first mascot, David I, to commemorate the services of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, in the garrison at Fort Henry from 12 July, 1842, to 20 September, 1843. You can meet the real David during sunset ceremonies at the UNESCO World Heritage site!
